Comments: Chanel has the most wonderful personality. She one of the sweetest and most laid back females I've had to date. Her rex coat is scraggly, but I did not keep any of her rex offspring. Her health is excellent.
Chanel developed mammary tumors at 2+ years of age. The tumors grew fairly slowly until shorly before she was put to sleep on 4/30/11, 12 days shy of her 3rd birthday.
From owner on 4/30/11: Her tumors "went crazy". Her primary tumor (started at R axilla) became huge, growing by the day. Not pretty to look at, however Chanel remained happy until a couple of days ago. The tumor started taking energy from Chanel, it was absolutely shocking to see the huge quantities Chanel was eating. We tried to keep her weight up by putting olive oil on her daily veggies, and giving her a few nuts every day. She lost a lot of weight but the tumor kept growing. A couple of weeks ago Chanel developed tumors around her bottom, her other axilla and one of her hind legs. She became incontinent a couple of days ago and that coupled with her abrupt lack of mobility and growing weakness made us realize today that it was her time.
