Comments: Jelly is a very large, exceptionally beautiful boy! He has a wonderful, laid back personality.

Jelly Belly is now 31 months old. Over the last 5 months, he has developed hind end degeneration. At this point he does not have any use of his hind end. He is living out his days in a large kiddie pool in the rat room. He is still very bright eyed and happy, and he gets around very well. He even manages to escape from the kiddie pool pretty regularly! He isn't hurting anything when he gets out, so I let him stay in the pool even though he can climb out. So he pretty much has the run of the rat room. I think he enjoys sleeping next to my females' cage - that is always where I find him! Since rats can't breed through cage bars, and he has NO use of his hind end whatsoever, I am not concerned about accidental litters.
